Okay, maybe "wreaks havoc" is a bit much, but the alliteration was too good to resist. That said, after achieving success on Steam Greenlight, the 16-bit-inspired roguelike adventure Ruin of the Reckless is already garnering some heavy attention on Kickstarter as well, having raised over $6,800 of its $10,000 goal so far in just a few days. Having been in development for over a year, the funding will go towards hiring more artists for animations and level design, as well as more enemies, levels, and player characters, depending on how successful the campaign is.

Taking on the role of a lost spirit trapped in a purgatory that is the giant tower known as the Ruin, your goal is to climb the massive structure and reach the top for the reward of having a single wish granted. Featuring randomly-generated levels, an emphasis on fast-paced melee combat, local co-op play, game modifiers in the form of collectable cards, impressive old-school graphics and a slew of other features, it definitely is an ambitious game, to say the least. Ruin of the Reckless certainly looks like it could be one of next year's sleeper hits on the indie scene, so if you're interested, check out the game's Kickstarter page for more, and maybe possibly chip in towards bringing this chaos to life.
