Tequila Works and Grey Box have finally put a release date on the Switch version of RiME.

RiME is already out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but Switch owners are going to have to wait a little longer. The game will finally hit Nintendo's console on November 14 in North America, and November 17 in Europe. According to the developer, the delay was due to development on the Switch version starting later than the other versions. However, the developer promised that RiME on Switch will be well worth the extra wait.

"Fans who have been waiting for the Nintendo Switch version have been among the most patient, and so Grey Box and Tequila works wanted to make sure that the version of the game they received was in as strong a state as possible. The additional time was spent towards optimization for the Nintendo Switch."

As previously announced, the game on Switch will have a different pricing structure than on other platforms. The digital version will cost $29.99/€34.99/£29.99. The physical version, however, is going to set you back $39.99/€44.99/£39.99. The $10 increase has to do with the associated manufacturing costs of printing the game on a Switch cartridge (many other publishers have had to increase the price on their physical releases as well). To compensate for the increased costs, all physical copies will come with a digital download code for the RiME Deluxe Soundtrack.
