It's quite cool to see more and more Japanese doujin (basically, indie) games hit Steam these days. One of the most recent is Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler- by Denneko Yuugi.

This action-focused JRPG places you in the shoes of a skilled Halbern Machinery Academy student who must take down foe after foe on his journey. Of course, he's not alone, as party members are added as you progress the storyline. Although it uses a turn-based battle system, you also account for "action points" which are expended to unleash better attack combos.

Machina of the Planet Tree -Planet Ruler- is available now for Windows at the discounted price of $11.04 on Steam. Pick the game up prior to August 4 if you'd like to save a few bucks.
