S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl Releases for PC, Xbox in 2023

During the Xbox Extended Showcase, GSC Game World released a new trailer for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl and gave fans just a little more information regarding the horror-simulation FPS’ eventual release. Unfortunately, the game won’t be making it out the door this year after all. Instead, fans will have to delay their plans for The Zone until some time in 2023.

This latest trailer doesn’t show any new gameplay for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, but there are a few story and universe tidbits for fans to chew on. It seems as though this game does indeed take place sometime after the first game. The Zone has apparently been stable long enough for a research organization, “SIRCAA,” to both form and grow complacent in its apparent control over the area. As seen in the video though, The Zone may very well be as dangerous and unpredictable as ever.
