Console gamers looking to get another peek at one of this year’s most anticipated shooters can do so this weekend when the Titanfall 2 tech test returns at 9 AM PST tomorrow on PS4 and Xbox One, with numerous improvements and updates being brought to the pre-alpha build.

Arriving with this weekend’s tech test are several new features, including a new map, Forwardbase Kodai, a new ability, Cloak, and three new weapons for players to check out once they reach the appropriate level, with the cap now being raised to 15. Players who got the opportunity to play last weekend will have their progress carried over. Respawn is also advertising the arrival of “Amped Happy Hours”, which grants players who participate during the hours of 9 AM PST or 4 PM PST on Saturday the ability to unlock a unique Callsign. In addition to the numerous changes to gameplay announced yesterday, a fuller glimpse at the patch notes has revealed that there will be changes made to the speed at which one is able to use the Amped Weapons Boost, the damage that the Charge Rifle produces at longer distances, and the visibility of the new Cloak ability by other pilots. Plus, multiple changes are being introduced to the Bounty Hunt mode, with new amounts for the winning score and the banking phase time limits, as well as a small fix for the outer dead zones of the PS4 controllers.

Although PC gamers will be unable to play this early version of the mech shooter for themselves, they will be able to join their console compatriots when the full game launches on October 28 on all three platforms. To those who missed out on the first weekend of the tech test, check out Hardcore Gamer's impression, which found this first sampling of the title a little disappointing.
