If the recent flood of game reviews -- and subsequent release to some of these games in fact during the last few days of August -- has got you in a bit of spin and/or had you fearing for the state of your wallet over the coming week or so, you'd be forgiven for losing track of the fact that Sega finally released the Western localisation of Yakuza Kiwami 2 yesterday -- the second head-to-toe remake of the beloved Yakuza series following last year's Yakuza Kiwami and this year's fantastic sixth mainline, numbered entry, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. As you would expect, the impressively-high benchmark of the series has been maintained through Kiwami 2.

Similarly to when Yakuza 6 was released in the West, Sega have dished out a survey (which you can take part in here) asking fans if they would be interested in seeing the series continue or simply continue to come to western shores. Be it through the mainline series (likely focusing on new characters/events following the close of series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu's tale in Yakuza 6), remasters/remakes of previous titles (mainline and spin-off alike) or something else entirely. It's already been confirmed that PS4 remasters of Yakuza 3, 4 & 5 will be coming to Japan -- on top of a brand new free-to-play title for mobile and PC, Yakuza Online -- so we know for certain that the IP won't be returning to the shadows anytime soon.
