The Sega Genesis Mini is set to be a make-good from Sega for all of the AtGames consoles that have left a lot to be desired. Today, the company announced ten new titles for the device. Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ecco the Dolphin, Castlevania Bloodlines, Space Harrier 2, Shining Force, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, ToeJam and Earl, Comix Zone, Altered Beast, Gunstar Heroes, Earthworm Jim, Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Contra Hard Corps, Thunder Force III, Super Fantasy Zone, Shinobi III, Streets of Rage 2, and Landstalker join the lineup.

The device will have 40 games total, and it would make sense for the rest of the Streets of Rage and Shinobi games to be featured on the lineup alongside Earthworm Jim 2 and the rest of the Ecco the Dolphin, ToeJam and Earl, Shining Force, and Sonic games. The Mickey Mouse games are a minor surprise given the Disney licensing, but Disney has been incredibly open to re-releasing their licensed games. Earthworm Jim is a fantastic pickup for the device, as the Genesis version is the best console version outside of the Sega CD version - which had a redone soundtrack and exclusive content. The Genesis Mini is set for release on September 19 with a $79.99 price tag and uses M2 for its emulation - so it should be fantastic overall.
