Though developer Garage227 Studios previously announced that their latest survival platformer, SHINY, would be releasing simultaneously on Xbox & PC on August 31, sadly the team have now stated that the Xbox iteration will releasing later than the PC version. "The Xbox One version needs a few final tweaks before players can jump, fly and swing their way past a bevy of challenging puzzles and levels," the studio confirmed. "Luckily the wait isn’t too long as Shiny will be launching on Xbox One in October."

No specific date is provided so it could be up to a full two months before Xbox players get their hands on the game. Regardless, the game remains on course to launch next week on PC. SHINY, for anyone unfamiliar with the name, is a 2D platformer that aims to focus less on traditional point A to point B gameplay, instead offering up a survival aspect via the robotic player-character's limited amount of energy and the need to rescue fellow robots before the planet, Kramer 227, crashes into its Sun.
