Ace Attorney had a rocky start as such a unique game focusing on lawyers, and in the latest blog update, creator and writer Shu Takumi talks on why making sequels was both stressful and satisfying. Although he had originally intended the first game to be a one-off, his love of mysteries made him both stressed and excited at the idea of a sequel after using up his ideas in the first title. Fortunately he was able to incorporate leftover ideas in the next two games that he hadn't gotten to in the original, and despite not having planned it as a trilogy from the beginning, pulled together the neat and tidy stories that players know and love today.
