Sledgehammer Games today revealed what content players can expect at launch and for Season One of Call of Duty: Vanguard.

We're about a week away from the launch of Call of Duty: Vanguard, which means its time to get full details about what players can expect when they start playing the game on November 5, and what will come afterwards.

On November 5, players can hop right into the game's single player campaign, Zombies, and multiplayer. The campaign takes players across the Western and Eastern Fronts of the war in Europe, as well as the North African and Pacific fronts. Zombies was developed by Treyarch and serves as a prequel to the Aether storyline in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The 'Der Anfang' map sees players hopping across different locations to survive and exfil in Stalingrad, or survive as many rounds as possible. Finally, multiplayer launches with the largest map selection for a Call of Duty game in years; 20.

16 of those maps are built for 6v6 action across core and hardcore modes. These modes include Free-for-All, Team Deathmatch, Kill Confirmed, Domination, Search & Destroy, Hardpoint, and Patrol at launch. The other four maps are reserved for Gunfight. There's also the new Champion Hill mode where players fight to be the last team standing. In terms of weaponry, there are over 3 dozen to choose from at launch, including seven Assault Rifles, six SMGs, four shotguns, four LMGs, three marksman rifles, and three snipers.

In-between launch and Season One, there'll be additional pieces of content and activities for players to participate in. First up, on November 17, the classic map Shipment returns with a World War II style makeover. Over in Warzone on November 18, a special 'Operation: Flashback' mode will be available to celebrate Verdansk before they prepare for the end on November 30. Starting November 24, players can start gathering intel in Vanguard and Warzone to learn more about the new Warzone map, Caldera.

Finally, it all comes together when Season One launches on December 2. The launch of the season brings with it the new Caldera Warzone map along with the highly anticipated Ricochet Anti-Cheat driver. The new map whisks players away to the Pacific to experience a whole new take on Warzone. Owners of Call of Duty: Vanguard can experience the new map 24 hours early. Expect all your progression and content earned from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare to work on this new map. There will be Vanguard specific Warzone modes, including Vanguard Royale, that keep everything time period specific. Though Verdansk may be disappearing, Rebirth Island will remain.

As for the rest of Season One, expect to get the usual treatment we've received during Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare's lifecycles. This includes new multiplayer maps, Operators, Zombies content, a Battle Pass, and weapons.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches November 5 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
