Publishers Ravenscourt and Buka Entertainment have announced a new release date for Redeemer: Enhanced Edition.

The beat ’em up was to launch on July 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC, but it will now be released both physically and digitally on July 19.

The publishers had plans for the top-down shooter to launch on June 25, but the release date was pushed back to July following the announcement made last month.

Redeemer was initially released on PC in 2017 and players stepped into the role of Vasily, a former employee of the biggest cybernetic weapon manufacturer in the world.

Following its failed attempt to turn Vasily into a cyborg soldier, players must fight back against the company after it tracked him down twenty years later.

“Players all around the world can’t wait for Vasily to arrive in style on video game consoles,” says Buka PR manager Artem Studenikin.

“We’re doing our very best so you could fully enjoy the Enhanced Edition. The final stage of quality assurance is underway at full speed to give you the true experience of the iconic brutal gameplay.

“Only a few days to go -- meet Vasily on July 19 on consoles and PC!”
