Small Radios Big Televisions Warping to Your PS4

Small Radios Big Televisions has to be one of the most immediately likable video game titles in a while, or maybe I’m just a sucker for juxtaposing adjectives like in LittleBigPlanet. That could be it. Either way, Small Radio Big Televisions has just been announced for PlayStation 4, a game about exploring worlds to find cassette tapes to unlock more worlds, presumably with more cassette tapes.

There aren’t too many details in the announcement about how the game will work exactly, but from the trailer, it looks a little like Fez in some of its environment design before it veers off in a completely different forest aesthetic. Hopefully that means that each world will be wildly different from the last. Since the worlds are contained on cassette tapes, you’ll also be able to warp them with magnetism, a nice touch.

No details about when it will actually be released, but it’s certainly a cool premise, and anything with artificial scanlines is all right in my book. If you don’t want to wait, you can play a prototype version of the game in your browser right now.
