We've all had plenty of questions about the upcoming Sonic Boom games for the Wii U and 3DS. Will they be able to recapture that magic that has been missing from the series for so long now? What the hell happened to Knuckles and why does he look like he ate the missing members of the Sonic cast? And, most importantly, what kind of awesome free stuff can we expect if we pre-order the title? Luckily for you, we here at Hardcore Gamer have answers: probably not, almost certainly steroids, and something pretty awesome. With most games you are lucky to get a an extra map or costume with your pre-order, but if you pre-order either Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for the 3DS or Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for Wii U you can snag yourself the nifty action figure shown below.

As you can see, the figure comes included with a trimmer, sleeker Sonic, an ancients' crystal, and a...uh...man, I hope that's an inhaler. Or a snorkel? Whatever the third object is, this package is actually a pretty sweet deal for fans of the series and collectors in general as physical goodies are becoming increasingly a rarity with games these days. Most of the time you're lucky if the game even comes with an instruction manual, so a free action figure is always appreciated. Of course, this means taking a risk on a new Sonic game before anyone is able to get their hands on it, which is a risk even the most compulsive of gamblers would have to think twice about. Shattered Crystal will be seeing a November 11 release in North America while Rise of the Lyric will hits shelves on week later on November 18.
