Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary Humble Bundle Now Available

Sonic’s 30th anniversary is here and Humble is celebrating with a wide variety of different bundle tiers to celebrate many of his games. $1 gets you Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 and its Battle Mode DLC, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing, and both episodes of Sonic the Hedgehog 4. For a single dollar, there’s a ton of variety here and All-Stars Racing is one of the best kart racers outside of Mario Kart in the genre.

Beating the average of about $8 gets you Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost World and Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed as well as its DLC. Here, you get the best blend of 2D and 3D yet with Generations alongside an underrated gem in Lost World and the best non-Mario Kart racer out there in All-Stars Racing Transformed. Sonic Mania’s Encore DLC is tied to this tier, which is odd, but nicely fits into the $10 tier.

That tier gets you Sonic Mania, Sonic Forces Digital Bonus Edition and Team Sonic Racing. TSR is a good kart racer, but I would put it behind the other two kart racers offered up here in every way but graphics. Sonic Mania is one of the finest 2D platformers on the market, and Sonic Forces is the most narrative-focused side-scrolling Sonic game yet that doesn’t hit the mark gameplay-wise.

For $10, there’s a ton of stuff to enjoy here and if you haven’t bought prior Sonic bundles, it’s a must-buy. If you have, then it might be a chance to grab Team Sonic Racing at its best price yet or just grab missing DLC for base games.
