Last month, we get out first look at the trailer for the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie, and it only took a few days of criticism over Sonic’s questionable design for the director to promise upcoming changes to the blue speedster.

As a result of the backlash, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie is spending some extra time in production as director Jeff Fowler tweeted that the film would be delayed from November of this year to February 14, 2020 in order to “make Sonic just right.” With this extra time in development, hopefully the updated CG version of Sonic will look a bit more like his video game design that spurred plenty of love from fans over the past two decades.
