Well this is quite the pleasant surprise. Seemingly out of nowhere, Sony has announced the four titles slated to be given away to PlayStation Plus members on the PlayStation 4 over the next two months. Typically we have to wait for the end of the month to find out what the next month's offerings are, but now PlayStation 4 owners can plan their purchases ahead of time.

In December, PlayStation 4 owners will get access to Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, the first retail AAA title to hit PlayStation Plus, and Secret Ponchos. During PAX Prime, one of the members of the Secret Ponchos development team confirmed to us that their isometric shooter would debut as a PlayStation Plus title, so this announcement doesn't come as much of a surprise. The inclusion of Injustice is particularly exciting, as this shows that we can expect larger titles to hit the PlayStation 4's PS Plus lineup in the future.

In January, PS Plus Subscribers will receive inFAMOUS: First Light and The Swapper. The latter is one of the best independent titles in recent memory, as its elegant puzzling provides players with a mental workout in the midst of a fantastic mystery. inFAMOUS: First Light, the stand-alone DLC for inFAMOUS: Second Son, shows that Sony is transitioning into releasing major first-party titles on PlayStation Plus.

It'll be interesting to see if this announcement starts a trend that continues in the future, or an anomaly caused by the indefinite delay of Driveclub's PlayStation Plus Edition.
