Sony Worldwide Studios president, Shuhei Yoshida, has spoken of his empathy and understanding of many fans' criticism and complaints with the released and supposedly finished build to No Man's Sky. In an interview with Eurogamer during this year's Tokyo Games Show, Yoshida goes on to admitting that the developer Hello Games -- more specifically Sean Murray, whom has pretty much been the face of the game's pre-release build-up -- took the wrong direction when drumming up hype for their game, ultimately misleading people as to what and what wasn't in the final build.

"I understand some of the criticisms especially Sean Murray is getting..." Yoshida states. "He sounded like he was promising more features in the game from day one. It wasn't a great PR strategy. He didn't have a PR person helping him, and in the end he is an indie developer." Understandably, despite the mixed reviews from both critics and fans alike of the game, Yoshida affirms that overall he is happy with the commercial success of the game on PS4.
