It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to Jory Prum, a talented sound designer and audio engineer within the video game industry. After suffering injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident, Prum passed away on April 22 at the age of 41.

As a veteran of the industry, Prum found work in multiple video game genres and for several companies. He excelled in voice recording, sound design, balancing dialog and more. He is known for his passion and teamwork for whatever the project called for. Other than video games, Prum has worked on various film and television projects. He has even been part of Pixar's Academy Award-winning short For the Birds.

Prum began his video game career working at LucasArts on dozens of games including Knights of the Old Republic. He then provided his talents to Sega, Activision, Ubisoft and more over the years. More recently, Prum worked on Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: The Game and Double Fine Productions' Grim Fandango Remastered. You can even catch him in some behind-the-scenes footage for Day of the Tentacle. Jory Prum has been part of award-winning games such as The Wolf Among Us, Broken Age and The Walking Dead for multiple Best Audio, Best Dialog, Best Voice Acting and Excellence in Audio nominations and wins.

Jory Prum left us too soon. Without his talents we would not have been able to experience as many great titles as could. We can only continue enjoying what he has already given us as a way to remember him. Hardcore Gamer offers condolences and well wishes to his colleagues, friends and family.
