EA and Dice have revealed exactly what you have to do to get into the Star Wars: Battlefront beta; own a console or PC. That's right, you don't have to pre-order the game or sign up for some subscription. All you'll need is a PS4, Xbox One, or PC capable of running Star Wars: Battlefront.

Dice have also finalized the playable content included in the beta. Players can check out Walker Assault on Hoth and Drop Zone on Sullust. In addition, a solo/co-op survival mission set on Tatooine is also available in the beta.

The developer has also answered a few community questions, including whether or not there would be AI bots in multiplayer in addition to other players. Turns out that only Fighter Squadron mode will feature AI bots (10 per side). Also, there are no sidearms. Players will only be able to equip a primary blaster and a hand of Star Cards.

No release date for the beta yet, but we do know that it will be playable sometime this October. The full game is out November 17 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
