Star Wars Battlefront DLC Will Not Include Prequel or Sequel Content

Are you fan of the Star Wars Prequel trilogy or Episode VII: The Force Awakens? Ever dream of playing as Darth Maul, Mace Windu, Kylo Ren, Rey, and as the armies of the Republic, Confederacy of Independent Systems (Separatists), Resistance, and First Order in Star Wars Battlefront? Well you’re going to have to keep dreaming, because EA and DICE won’t be delivering that content.

Star Wars Battlefront has a $50 Season Pass, and the only information we know about it is vague at best. However, fans have speculated that some of the DLC expansions would be focused on Episodes I-III, and the newly released Episode VII. Sadly, we’re not getting any of that.

A fan asked EA and DICE on Twitter whether one of the DLC expansions would focus on Episode VII. The response negated any chance of seeing DLC from either the prequels or sequels:

Of course, there will be a Star Wars Battlefront II from EA, which will likely include Prequel and Sequel content, but its hard to stomach that neither are making it into this iteration. After all, the two Battlefront games from Pandemic Studios included both Original and Prequel trilogy content.

Star Wars Battlefront is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
