Respawn Entertainment, EA, and Lucasfilm Games today announced when fans will get their first look at gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The hotly anticipated sequel to 2019s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was first announced back in May with a flashy CG trailer. Since then, however, everyone has been left waiting to see what the game will actually look like. This week, we'll finally get the chance to see the game in action.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will make its gameplay debut at The Game Awards on December 8. To celebrate the impending reveal, the trio released a new piece of key art showcasing an older Cal and BD-1.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor takes place five years after the events of Fallen Order as Cal and his crew attempt to stay ahead of the Empire. Accompanied by BD-1, Cal will need to improve as a Jedi and make strong allies to survive. The reveal trailer teased that the Grand Inquisitor will hunt Cal during the events of the game.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is expected to launch early 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Game Awards takes place Thursday, December 8 at 5pm PT.
