Daedalic Entertainment today announced that it would be publishing Kong Orange’s upcoming Felix The Reaper.

According to the State of Mind developer, the musical romantic comedy title will be heading to Gamescom, which takes place from August 21 to August 25 in Cologne, and will be playable at the Indie Arena Booth. Likewise, the title will be available for a hands-on session at PAX West, which runs from August 31 to September 3 in Seattle.

The story follows the reaper Felix, who works at the Ministry of Death, and his love interest, Betty The Maiden. Felix dances his way through each level in the 3D puzzle adventure title, as he aims to fill the quota for the Ministry of Death and win over Betty.

Players are able to unlock a hardcore version of each level upon completion, as well as being able to collect skull achievements that unlock bonus time trials.

Kong Orange’s title is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and macOS in 2019.

“From its quirky mix of challenging puzzles and indie music soundtrack, everyone here at Daedalic love what the team at Kong Orange has put together with Felix the Reaper,” says Daedalic founder and CEO Carsten Fichtelmann.

“We are delighted to publish the game on behalf of Kong Orange, as well as get it in the hands of consumers at Gamescom and PAX West over the next few weeks.”

Esben Kjær Ravns, the founder of Kong Orange, added: “We are excited to partner with Daedalic, as Felix the Reaper will benefit from its expertize when it comes to marketing and distribution, allowing us to focus on completing a game that will make Felix and the Ministry of Death proud. We are also looking forward to introducing Felix to gamers, media and influencers during Gamescom and PAX West.”
