PlayStation today announced when their next State of Play show will debut.

Sony's preferred method of new announcements returns after the last State of Play nearly two months ago. This new State of Play airs next Thursday, June 2 and will last about 30 minutes. It'll include reveals from third-party partners and a look at some of the games being made for PlayStation VR2. You can watch it on the PlayStation Twitch and YouTube channels starting at 3pm PT / 6pm ET / 12am CET.

While PlayStation didn't provide too many hints about what we will see, it's description does seem to rule out first-party releases. That means we're unlikely to see God of War Ragnarok or the rumored The Last of Us Remake. However, it does leave room for a Final Fantasy XVI trailer, something we know is in the works and that producer Naoki Yoshida said would come sometime during spring 2022. We'll just have to wait and see.

Be sure to check back on Thursday, June 2 for all the PlayStation announcements.
