Back in December, Team Meat revealed that their long-awaited platforming sequel would be releasing in April of this year, bringing an end to five years of development.

As we entered Super Meat Boy Forever’s launch month, fans have still been left wondering when they could get their hands on the bloody and challenging sidescroller. Earlier today, Team Meat revealed in the tweet above that they are “almost done” with development, but that Super Meat Boy Forever would not be ready for launch this month without sacrificing the physical and mental well-being of the team. The tweet mentions that the next trailer they drop will have a firm release date, but until that time, the new release window is “after but not too far after April 2019.”

When it does launch, Super Meat Boy Forever will do so on PS4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
