In the wake of learning that Capcom Vancouver has shuttered their doors, we are now hearing of a second beloved studio that is effectively going out of business this week.

Telltale Games, the developers who created projects based on The Walking Dead, Batman, Game of Thrones and more, will be laying off 225 members of their 250 member staff. This majority studio closure has led to the cancellation of the upcoming second season of The Wolf Among Us and the debut season of Stranger Things, while also forcing the ongoing fourth and final season of The Walking Dead to come to an abrupt conclusion after its second of four planned episodes drops next week. The remaining 25 staff members will continue to work on the Minecraft: Story Mode project being produced for Netflix, after which the studio will likely fully close.

Hardcore Gamer wishes the best for everyone laid off this past week. Stay tuned next week for our review of the final Walking Dead episode.
