Halloween isn't about dressing up, or exploiting your neighbors for candy by switching through multiple costumes. It's not about some Celtic harvest festival, or carving pumpkins into creepy interpretations of family members, either. Halloween is about one thing and one thing only: Scaring the crap out of people. Thankfully, Bethesda understands this.

In honor of the nearing hallowed evening, Bethesda released three new images of the upcoming fright-fest, The Evil Within on their official blog.

Those of you unfamiliar with the game should know the following: It's being developed by Tango Gameworks, a relatively new game developer formed by Shinji Mikami, creator of the Resident Evil series. The game is being published by Bethesda, and it's shaping up to be quite the experience as seen in the gameplay video released a while back.

The Evil Within will be released on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC sometime in 2014.
