The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Beta is Live Now on PS4

Infinity Ward today set the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare beta live, giving players on PS4 the chance to try out the game ahead of release.

Those hoping to test out Call of Duty: Modern Warfare before it’s late October launch now have that chance. Today kicks-off weekend one for the open beta. During this time, players can test a variety of different game modes, maps, and weapons.

Beta weekend 1 runs from today, September 12, through September 16 at 10am PST. To start playing today, players require a code acquired from pre-ordering the game. However, the beta opens up for every PS4 player on September 14. At the start of the beta, Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Headquarters will be available on the following maps:

  • Azhir Cave (Day) 6v6
  • Hackney Yard (Day) 6v6
  • Grazna Raid 6v6
  • Grazna Raid 10v10

As for progression, players can rank up to level 10. Based on previous betas, it’s likely more maps, game modes, and levels will be added as the weekend progresses. Beta Weekend 2, which kicks off September 19, includes Xbox One and PC players and introduces cross-play between all three platforms.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out October 25 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
