Earlier this week, we discussed how the season finale for developer Supermassive Games’ Dark Pictures Anthology, The Devil in Me, seemed to be properly building up to a satisfying conclusion for the first part of this series. Unfortunately, it also won’t be due out until next month, meaning that it’s going to miss out on the Halloween season. But as they didn’t want to miss out on the festivities completely, Bandai Namco were kind enough to share a new trailer for the latest entry in this horror game franchise, which you can check out below.
The latest clip gives us a larger glimpse into the game’s story as well, with a film crew currently working on a failing documentary about notorious criminal H.H. Holmes and being invited by a mysterious individual known as Granthem Du’Met to come and check out a recreation of Holmes’ infamous “Murder Castle,” hoping to get what they need for their movie. They get more than they bargained for, though, as it appears a serial killer is watching their every move, and the trailer shows us some of the nastier surprises they have in store as well. Boasting such an intriguing plot, some improved gameplay, and a cast that includes the likes of Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley, The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me should hopefully make for some good post-Halloween horror when it arrives for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms on November 18.
