Franz Kafka, one of the most influential writers of the past century, has done a lot for the growth of literature. But has he done much for video games? Developer mif2000 is using works such as "The Metamorphosis" and "The Castle" as a basis for his new game. Those who have never read Kafka before should know that his work is known for being surreal and absurd.

It follows that a game based on Kafka's work must include these traits as well. The game itself is styled after classic adventure games and includes logic-based puzzles. It might be worth playing the developer's last game (Harmlet or the Last Game without MMORPG Features, Shaders and Product Placement) to get a feel for his style.

The Franz Kafka Videogame is currently slated for 2014 on Window, Mac and Linux PCs as well as Android and iOS platforms.
