2019 has been a consistently solid year for new gaming releases, and with a packed two months of upcoming titles still to come, there are plenty of options to consider when discussing the best games of the year.

For a fifth consecutive year, producer and host Geoff Keighley will once again be presenting The Game Awards, which will take place on December 12 in Los Angeles and simultaneously live streamed around the world. In addition to honoring the best titles of the year as voted upon by dozens of outlets across the gaming industry, The Game Awards has typically been a showcase for new looks at and reveals for upcoming titles, with last year’s show seeing the first trailers for Far Cry: New Dawn, The Outer Wilds and Mortal Kombat 11.

Stay tuned to Hardcore Gamer this December as we cover all the winners and breaking news from the 2019 Game Awards.
