Telltale Games creative communications head Job J. Stauffer has suggested that The Walking Dead: Michonne will be released soon.

In a series of tweets, Stauffer revealed new information regarding Telltale’s other projects and the upcoming Walking Dead spin-off title, including news that the development team had recently been playing The Walking Dead: Michonne and that it’s “Fresh, brutal and it's about to sneak up on you... Be ready!”

Stauffer also added that Telltale’s “fall programming [is] in full effect,” drawing a direct comparison with TV in the way that the developer has a whole range of content lined up for its audience, which includes Game of Thrones Episode 6: The Ice Dragon and Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 3: The Last Place You Look being released this month.

For those hoping to hear some potential news on a third season in Telltale’s critically acclaimed The Walking Dead series, it seems that it won’t be happening any time soon, as Stauffer tweeted that the earliest announcement regarding the title would come after The Walking Dead: Michonne is finished.

The Walking Dead: Michonne, which Telltale unveiled at E3 2015, is a three-part mini-series on Michonne’s “untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139” of The Walking Dead comic series.

Telltale Games co-founder and CEO Kevin Bruner previously said that the katana-wielding Michonne has the “complexity and range make her an ideal lead for the compelling interactive drama fans have come to expect from Telltale.”

“With this mini-series, players will experience Michonne’s challenges first-hand, and the choices they make will shape her journey,” he added.

The Walking Dead: Michonne is scheduled for release in the fall of 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Android and iOS.
