In the United States, Tomodachi Life is known as that one game that made the mainstream news for not featuring same sex relationships. In other countries, however, it’s proved to be a huge hit far past one silly piece of controversy and moved over three million units by the time October came. In Germany, the game has become a bonafide sensation. Sales numbers were just revealed for the country with FIFA 15 running away with the top spot. The three runners up? Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Grand Theft Auto V and Tomodachi Life. That’s right, with all three selling over 200,000 copies, Tomodachi Life is in the same tier as Call of Duty and Grand Theft Auto, two franchises that smash sales records in the United States every time they’re released.
It looks like Germany has embraced the 3DS full on (or just really loves adorable life simulators).
