EA has announced the top five quarterbacks based on their overall rating for the upcoming Madden NFL 19. The game is due out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on August 10. The team already announced the 99 Club members, so two of them are on this list. New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers clock in at 99 overall. Brady excels with a 99 Short Accuracy rating and a 97 Mid Accuracy rating. Rodgers, who missed a chunk of time last season and makes the 99 rating arguable, gets a 98 Short, 94 Mid, and a game-best 88 Deep Accuracy rating. He will also get a 96 Play Action and 97 Throw-on-the-run.

The remaining three are Russell Wilson (92), Drew Brees (91) and Matt Ryan (89). Wilson did magic for a depleted and downhill Seattle Seahawks team in 2017. His notable ratings come in at 86 Speed, 92 Agility and a 96 Throw-on-the-run. He is the only QB in the top five under the Scrambler Player Archetype with a 91 Break Sack rating. Brees will get a 97 Throw Under Pressure rating that tops all QBs. His accuracy numbers are 97 Short, 89 Mid and 81 Deep. Lastly, Ryan is balanced with a 94 Short, 86 Mid and 85 Deep. He also has an 89 TOTR.

The two honorable mentions for the quarterback position are Cam Newton and Matthew Stafford. While the overall wasn't listed for them, Cam Newton possesses 85 Speed, 97 Throw Power, and a best-in-game 98 Break Sack rating. Meanwhile, Stafford comes in with an 87 Short, 82 Mid and 81 Deep along with 98 Throw Power.
