castAR, an industry leader of mixed reality entertainment, announced today the appointments of Darrell Rodriguez as CEO, and Steve Parkis as President and COO. These appointments provide experience in go-to-market execution to complement the team that has been driving the castAR platform towards its retail launch.

In his over two decades as an interactive and entertainment media executive, Darrell Rodriguez has brought his acumen for efficient, results-driven production and business strategies to some of the biggest creative enterprises in the video gaming industry. As President of LucasArts, COO of Electronic Arts Los Angeles, CEO of Trendy Entertainment and CCO of International Game Technology, Rodriguez has been instrumental in leading some of the world’s top entertainment brands into new frontiers of technology and digital entertainment.

Steve Parkis has led teams at The Walt Disney Company, Zynga and Storm8, producing globally recognized, award-winning and commercially significant products based on franchises like Toy Story, The Incredibles, Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean, CityVille and FarmVille. Creating new entertainment platforms through the innovative use of new technologies, business models and interactive storytelling for more than fifteen years, Parkis will focus on further building out the team, platform, product execution and marketing strategy to bring castAR to consumers.
