Two Games Added to Sega Genesis Mini’s Collection, All 42 Titles Revealed

Sega today announced that it would expand the roster of the Genesis Mini titles from forty to 42.

According to the publisher and developer, the latest additions coming to the console are the cult classic Tetris and the shoot ’em up Darius, which was initially released in Japan in 1987.

Several titles were already revealed for the Genesis Mini, which was followed up with Sega announcing a further ten last month.

With the catalog now at 42, Sega has confirmed the full lineup of titles on the console and they can be viewed below.

  • Sonic the Hedgehog, Ecco the Dolphin, Castlevania: Bloodlines, Space Harrier II;
  • Shining Force, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, ToeJam & Earl, Comix Zone;
  • Altered Beast, Gunstar Heroes, Earthworm Jim, Sonic the Hedgehog 2;
  • Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, Contra: Hard Corps, Thunder Force III;
  • Super Fantasy Zone, Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master, Streets of Rage 2, Landstalker;
  • Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Street Fighter II: Special Champion Edition, Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle;
  • Beyond Oasis, Golden Axe, Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium, Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball;
  • Vectorman, Wonder Boy in Monster World, Tetris, Darius;
  • Road Rash II, Strider, Virtua Fighter 2, Alisia Dragoon;
  • Kid Chameleon, Monster World IV, Eternal Champions, Columns;
  • Dynamite Headdy and Light Crusader

The Genesis Mini includes two replica three-button USB Genesis controllers, an HDMI cable and USB-to-Micro-B power cable, with the North American version including a power adapter, too.

Sega has priced the console at $79.99 (€79.99/£69.99) and plans to release it on September 19.
