Ubisoft today has announced that they will be expanding their Montreal Studio and adding five hundred jobs. The expansion will be to concentrate the American operations for online games and infrastructures into a single location. In a move estimated to cost the studio three hundred seventy-three million dollars over seven years, Ubisoft should now employ more than thirty-five hundred professionals within its Quebec studios.

The exact nature of the jobs have yet to be detailed, but they will focus on the development, production and operations of next generation video games, including a need for community and network management specialists,  business intelligence analysts, mathematicians, telemetry experts, systems operators, and monetization and interactive marketing specialists.

Ubisoft opened their Quebec studio in 1997.
