During today's Nintendo Direct, the publisher took a couple of minutes to make a brief announcement for Yoshi's Crafted World. The game's still coming on March 29, but fans can get some hands-on time with it right now if they want. It turns out that Nintendo has prepared a demo for the game and it's available for immediate download via the eShop on the Nintendo Switch. The company didn't go into detail as to what players will be able to do in the demo, but it should at least give players a decent taste of what's to come.

Yoshi's Crafted World has all the hallmarks of a classic collect-a-thon delivered in a handicraft-themed package. Players can explore the world either by themselves or with a friend as they look for secrets, collect items and craft their own costumes for their Yoshis to enjoy. If Nintendo has learned from the shortcomings of Yoshi's Woolly World, then this game will likely prove to be another hit for the long-time publisher.

Yoshi's Crafted World launches for Nintendo Switch on March 29.
