A few years back, Fictiorama Studios made quite the splash with Do Not Feed the Monkeys, a voyeurism simulator where you play as a member of the Primate Observation Club, peeping into the lives of strangers and learning various secrets in the process. And now the sequel, Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099, is set for a release next year, with the Primate Observation club making the leap to the far future. If the title alone didn’t make that last part evident, allow to the release date trailer below to show off this new world.
It turns out alien knowledge has spread among Earth by our titular year in this game, which has led to massive corporations getting a hold of it, and per usual, leads to Earth quickly heading into a dystopia. The new setting also means that you have access to more advanced tech as well when it comes to surveillance, including AI holograms known as OmniPals that can help assist you. Of course, the more things change, the more they remain the same: Get caught interfering/feeding the monkeys, and you’re in for some serious trouble. Do Not Feed the Monkeys 2099 will be published by Joystick Ventures and arrives on March 9 for PC, with a new demo available now on Steam for those who can’t wait for the future.
