Void Bastards was first announced in November of last year and stood out immediately with its first-person looting and gorgeous cel shaded art style. As a prisoner, you're sent on death missions and it's up to you to craft gear, upgrade your stuff, and find as much material as possible to craft more things and move from ship to ship. The game teaches you the ropes in a tough, but fair manner allowing you to learn how to die and then putting you in a new role with every death. It's a bit like Rogue Legacy where every character you take on after a death has different attributes - so you may wind up with a character who coughs due to a smoking habit and and gives away your position, or one who is colorblind and the game becomes black and white. PC players can get it on Steam and the Humble Store, while Xbox One owners can enjoy it via the digital storefront and Game Pass users can enjoy it now at no extra charge.
