One of the leading hard drive and solid state drive manufacturers has announced a brand new NVMe model in their already expansive lineup. Aimed towards PC gamers, the WD Black SN750 NVME SSD offers four different modes:
- 250GB with a 200 TBW expectancy (no heatsink option)
- 500GB with a 300 TBW expectancy
- 1TB with a 600 TBW expectancy
- 2TB with a 1,200 TBWÂ expectancy
This new slotted NAND flash memory is capable of incredible speeds, with upwards of 3,470 MB/s Sequential Read, 3,000 MB/s Sequential Write, 515k IOPS Random Read and 560K IOPS Random Write. It was designed for speed, with installation and gaming load times being a strong focus.
In order to achieve this and much more, the NVMe drive will have the option of a heavy duty heatsink and advanced thermal management. It will also have its own WD software with a Gaming Mode that removes the low power state and reduces latency.
The Western Digital Black SN750 NVME SSD will be available next month (with a five-year warranty I might add), priced at $79.99, $129.99, $249.99 and $499.99 respectively.
