After five long months and widespread cancellation speculation, Watch_Dogs is set to arrive on Wii U on November 18th. In some of the stranger news of the day, the official Watch_Dogs Twitter account randomly announced that none of its DLC will come to the Wii U iteration. This tweet was deleted shortly afterwards, perhaps indicating that this information was not supposed to hit the public until absolutely necessary.

@snowyday2 Unfortunately, the DLC will not be available for the WiiU_

We know that Watch_Dogs will be the last M-Rated game that Ubisoft releases on the Wii U, as the poor sales of previous titles indicates that the Wii U is not the proper market for them. When one considers the Wii U's growing status as a solid second console, it's not hard to understand why games like Assassin's Creed and Call of Duty don't succeed on Nintendo's home console. Those who have a Wii U own it to play Nintendo and Nintendo-esque titles, not games seen in better form elsewhere.

Is the surprise announcement of Watch_Dogs DLC not coming to Wii U yet another death nail in Nintendo's third-party AAA dreams? Only time will tell.
