Windjammers 2 to Throw Down on Stadia, Receives New Trailer

During today’s Stadia Connect, it was revealed that the lineup for Google’s platform would add a notable indie title in the form of Windjammers 2. Coincidentally, the new trailer for Windjammers 2 that went with this news shows off a new addition of its own in the form of a new character, alongside returning ones. Announced last year, we’ve discussed before how the sequel is shaping up to be another arcade classic that does the original justice. And if you need further proof of that, then check out the insane gameplay in said trailer, seen below.

Our new character is Jao Raposa, hailing from Brazil. Judging by the clip, he seem to excel at jump-related moves, springing right up and slamming the disc down on the opponent’s side of the court. We also see Italy’s Loris Biaggi from the first game returning to action (though the video’s description oddly claims that he’s a new character), showing off a trick shot as well. In fact, the game goes crazy with trick shots towards the end, which all look amazing in the new hand-drawn style (alongside everything else). Windjammers 2 has been delayed to early 2020, but it should be worth the wait when it hits Stadia, Switch, and PC.
