With a little over a week remaining at the time of writing, Wizard of Legend is sitting pretty at 99% of the initial $50,000 goal.  With only a measly 292 dollars remaining at the time of writing, the game looks nailed on to hit a stretch goal or two at the very least.

In case you’ve missed our coverage of Wizard of Legend in the past, the game is described by the developers as a “fast paced 2D dungeon crawler where you assume the role of a powerful wizard on their quest for fame and glory!”.  It all seems to be pretty standard stuff until you see the impressively polished animations and environments. Seemingly a sort of faster paced, more serious Magicka style game, Wizard of Legend is full of impressively violent and sparkly spells, dread inducing enemies and a pretty cool sounding premise.  The two man development team, dubbed Contingent99, seem to be moving steadily towards an impressive achievement in the development of their maiden release.

There is PVP too!

As the campaign wraps up, it will be interesting to see just how much extra support the project can garner. More interesting will be the resulting product.
