Yoshi's Woolly World, the rather cute platformer released last year on Wii U will be -- following the likes of Hyrule Warriors Legends -- getting a rerelease on 3DS under the expanded title of Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. Along with all the levels and content from the original game, Yoshi's companion Poochy will also be getting his own additional levels as well as a series of stop-motion animated shorts starring both Yoshi & Poochy made in collaboration between Nintendo and animation studio Dwarf.

What's more, miniature versions, dubbed Poochy Pups, will be able to give players a hand in-game by sniffing out hidden areas and items, though judging by the gameplay shown -- and the presence of Yoshi's infinite-flight wings, a feature only available in the game's easy state, Casual Mode -- this addition doesn't appear to be mandatory to those wishing to maintain a sense of challenge. And just like the Wii U game, Nintendo also announced a yarn amiibo will be made available, this time in the form of Poochy. Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World is scheduled for release on February 3 next year.
