These past few months have seen the announcements that Fall Guys, one of the biggest games of 2020, would be making its way to the Switch and Xbox platforms this Summer, almost a year after it arrived on PC and PS4. However, it looks like those particular console owners will have to wait just a little bit more, as Mediatonic has announced that these version of the game will be delayed, as detailed in a blog post.

The reason behind the delay is actually pretty simple: The developers just need more time to implement features like cross-play, which can ensure that regardless of which platform a player owns, they can join in with their friends on other platforms. No new release window for the Xbox and Switch versions was mentioned, though. It's been a busy year for Mediatonic and Fall Guys, with has seen a new Squad Mode added along with Season Four, not to mention the developer's acquisition by Epic Games. Mediatonic aren't stopping, though, and they still have much that they plan to add, including the upcoming Season 4.5 update that features new rounds, so stay tuned for what they have in store next.
