Yakuza 5 has taken years to make it out of Japan and into the West. In fact, we had nearly lost hope when SEGA and Sony announced it would finally be coming to the States this year. However, that announcement was some time ago and all has been quiet since. Many speculated that the game would slip into 2016, however, according to SEGA's blog, that will not be the case. Just a little bit ago, the company's blog was updated with a new entry in which it's revealed that Yakuza 5 is almost good to go. Apparently some Japanese-to-English text wasn't cooperating with the localization team, ultimately causing the slowdown in its release.

Nevertheless, the blog does say that the game is on track for a mid-November release. While a concrete date has not been set yet, this time frame at least satiates our appetite for all things Yakuza 5-related.

Yakuza 5 will release on PS3 exclusively, and is up on PSN for pre-order (which nets folks a certain percentage off and some other goodies).
