Yooka and Laylee Take On the Impossible Lair

When Banjo Kazooie-style platformer, Yooka-Laylee, released in 2017 it instantly became a lovable favorite among veteran and new players alike. Its classic platforming style mixed with colorful visuals and witty dialogue made it more than just a repeat of those classic platforming titles. Now, Yooka-Laylee is back in an all new adventure with new thrills and gameplay style.

The villain Capital B has created a Hivemind device and used it to enslave the toughest bees in the Royal Stingdom. It’s up to Yooka and Laylee to stop him in this new adventure. With a mix of side-scrolling action and top-down gameplay, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair brings new levels, new puzzles to solve and new secrets to uncover. To keep with the feeling of nostalgia, this new title even features original music from David Wise and Grant Kirkhope (if you ever played Donkey Kong back in the day, you’ve heard their music). While some details still haven’t been fully released, like whether this title will also support local co-op, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair plans to release in 2019 on all platforms.
