Nihon Falcom announced today that the Steam version of Ys Origin has sold more than 200,000 copies since its release. The game was originally published on Windows PCs way back in 2006 and 2007 in Japan, but was only published on Steam in 2012 for the rest of the world to experience.

This comes in light of both the Steam Winter Sale over the holiday and Steam's Anime Sale over the weekend where the series has been decently discounted. While the game deserves to sell millions, this is still a strong indicator that old school JRPGs are still desired on PC.
