Today at a PAX West 2016 panel, Suda 51 said he will be talking with Capcom about the possibility of re-releasing his 2005 cult hit, Killer7.

The panel, hosted by Hardcore Gamer's Chris Shive, is about the new remaster of Suda51's 1999 adventure visual novel The Silver Case and the importance of reproducing past work in general. During the panel, Suda51 brought up the idea of giving Killer7 similar treatment. Suda51 mentioned that he is going to talk to the game's original publisher, Capcom, about the possibility of a remaster, but stressed that no concrete plans have been made.

Killer7, released in 2005 on GameCube and PlayStation 2, cast the player as Harman Smith, an assassin with seven disparate personalities that manifest themselves physically. Each level focused on a new assassination target as the player worked to dismantle a terrorist group called Heaven Smile. While its near-incomprehensible plot and unique style made it a polarizing game, it also helped it develop a cult following.
