Hardcore Gamer recently had the opportunity to sit down with NIS America and discuss some of their upcoming titles for the spring release. Some of it was updates on things previously announced, while other information was brand new to us. But without further ado, NISA has exciting titles on the horizon that we'd love to tell you about.

R-Type Final 2

The classic arcade shooter franchise returns in an enhanced and evolved format. R-Type Final 2 brings the classic frenetic gameplay of the original titles and merges them with modern features and graphics. The performance based difficulty adjusts to each player's experience, making it accessible to both veteran pilots and new recruits. Players have the freedom to customize their loadout with coloring, decals and of course weapons. R-Type Final 2 is scheduled for April 30 release for PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X.

Void Terrarium++

Void Terrarium++ is coming to PlayStation 5 with some upgrades. In addition to the expected facelift to look better than ever on the more powerful hardware, it will include new emotes, outfits, hairstyles, diseases and new environments to explore. This roguelike adventure combines cute visuals and a somber yet whimsical post-apocalyptic storyline with its unique visual style, roguelike gameplay and caretaking system. Void Terrarium++ is scheduled to debut on PlayStation 5 on May 18, with the new content being available for PlayStation 4 and Switch as DLC.

World’s End Club

The popular Apple Arcade game World's End Club will be making an appearance on Nintendo Switch. A quirky and colorful cast of characters put their friendship bonds to the test and they unravel mysteries that surround them after the school sanctioned Go-Getters Club members find themselves trapped in an amusement park under the sea after a bus accident. This unique adventure takes place in a vibrant world filled with many strange phenomena in a visually-stimulating journey that switches between visual novel and platformer. World's End Club Switches things up on May 28.

The Silver Case 2425

Hardcore Gamer is no stranger to The Silver Case, so hearing a new edition coming to the Switch was music to our ears. The Silver Case 2425 explores two surreal thrilling crime mysteries from SUDA51. In trying to solve The Silver Case players will immerse themselves in the world of Kanto with stylish and shocking art and music by renowned composer Masafumi Takada (killer7, Danganronpa, No More Heroes). The Silver Case 2425 makes its debut on Switch on July 6.

The Caligula Effect 2

Fans of The Caligula Effect will rejoice as NISA has announced its sequel. Meet the fresh faces of the Go-Home Club whose memories are awakened by the virtuadoll known as X. Recruit other students to aid you in challenging the virutadoll Regret and her Obligator Musicians to escape from the false world of Redo. The battle system allows players to utilize the Imaginary Chain to predict your enemies' moves and form the perfect strategy while calculating techniques to gain a tactical advantage. Players will be treated to masterfully-crafted story scenarios from Persona writer Tadashi Satomi and director Takuya Yamanaka, who unite with a pulse-pounding, vocaloid-inspired soundtrack, making the world of Redo a memorable visual and audio experience. The Caligula Effect 2 is scheduled for a fall release for Switch and PlayStation 4.


Those are some of the things NISA has planned for the next few months. While the games listed here are enticing, there may be some more news coming NISA during the second half of the year.
